Flute and Piano (suite)

Delicate yet unsettling, with a dissonant flute and a jaunty piano that deliver a strangely playful but darkish tone in the same vein as a contemporary classical music piece.

Clouds Party

Fun and celebratory, a grand and colourful orchestration gives a sense of contagious energy. Magic is in the air, as the twisty dialogues between flute, oboe and brass remind us in the middle section. With a great impulse for discovery and adventure, it will suit both a Hollywood and Japanese cartoon style fast paced setting.

Blossom Fade

Intimate and inspirational, with compelling piano punctuated with high frequencies. It starts with a slightly melancholic accent, and then builds into hopeful and uplifting regions, helped by dreamy orchestral strings and percussive elements. This would have been perfect for Spirited Away

Slow Dream

Catchy, cheesy and energetic, this mid-tempo track features a funky beat with clav, drums, and brass section. At 1:05 it features a quirky reverberated vibraphone. Tongue in cheek and in your face, it pays homage to Soul/RnB/Funk, ideal for something like Supermarket Sweep.

Fast Eddie

A compelling dialogue between a crunchy electric guitar and brass instruments, this tune successfully mixes mid-sixties elements with an energetic funky attitude. In the second part the brass section delivers a Ska punk aftertaste. Urge Overkill and sped-up Al Green make for a Tarantino-esque setting. Ideal for a title sequence, ad campaigns, TV shows.

Crab Cakes

Funky, energetic tune featuring a driving bass guitar, retro drum groove, smoking Hammond organs, and a punchy brass section. There are two harmonic shifts at 1:00 and 2:10. An instrumental James Brown playing with Earth Wind & Fire.

Cluedo

Unexpected and relentless, with ostinato strings patterns and temperamental tempo changes that create a moody and fast paced sixties-like classical orchestration. Ideal for retro thrillers along the lines of Psycho and Vertigo.

That’s for Eating With

Quirky instrumental. Dramatic opening, sustained keys and brass, sounds like the electronic rainbow blasts of Animal Collective. Gives way to a meandering jazz saxophone joined by a brass blast then an unexpected quirky percussive section with piano and a big build, all instruments in, like the finale of a stadium rock concert. Sparse breathy saxophone section before another epic blast of noise. Solo sax then all instruments in, strings, drums, percussion, vocals and brass with drum crashes and wallops before a peaceful end. Bombastic and epic with slow, thoughtful sections, a fun mix of styles and moods, would suit a silly Film/TV scene humorous advert for a bonkers product.
