Everybody’s Got One (Suite)

Retro TV theme tune with saxophone. A football whistle and hint of samba drums gives way to a mellow, homely piano chord sequence, with jaunty horn section, saxophone passionate soloing and a lush string build to meet the end. Comforting, positive and reassuring, like a 90s American family sitcom theme tune, cosy, retro and warm, think ‘Who’s the Boss?’ for good old-fashioned family japes.

Hopeful, warm, content and positive, a relaxed instrumental, prefect for bright, summery adverts – picture friends getting together, having a drink, or cruising around town in a beat-up car on a hot summer’s day.

The 8th Day

Country rock jam. Slow strummed acoustic guitar chord intro with subtle snare drum. Full drums and fuzzy electric guitar kick in with a simple riff. Heavier chorus section with more of everything. Electric guitar solo shreds through the guitar later in the track. Brash and confident with a hint of plodding reflection. Perfect for a dramatic TV/Film scene or documentary following a slightly tortured character.

State of Mind

Tense, atmospheric electronica. Synth riff with added vocal samples and whooshing, fat synths underneath. Sparse, slightly tropical, subtle beats materialise, synths and vocals bubble up and cut through the murky atmosphere. Downbeat, moody, dark and slightly magical, reminiscent of a more 90s Arca, intriguing beats draw us in to another world, swampy and hazy, perfect for a mellow TV/Doc/Film scene or as sombre yet hopeful background music.

Like An Angel

Anticipatory electronic track. Fade In. Moody beats, fat synths and a repetitive melodic synth motif emerge fully formed. An insistent 4/4 beat underpins 90s-style samples and electronic flourishes. Determined, serious, yet upbeat, would suit a half sophisticated, half cheesy advert for a functional product, think chrome and flashes of steel, shiny and indestructible. Would also suit Film/TV scenes of anticipation and action.

Deep Space

Downbeat electronica. 90s influenced piano intro, bassy synth and sustained synths join, along with eerie theremin-like warbling synths. A trip hop style drums build before a quieter break. Atmospheric electronics sustain the soundscape to a quiet close. Reminiscent of Massive Attack, anticipatory, ambient and immersive, an enveloping sound world, mysterious and alluring, to suit a chilled advert, tense documentary or Scandi noir-style contemplative TV/Film sequence.
