Exotic dub track. Bubbling dub bass guitar lurches around like a ghost from Scooby Doo, wistful piano, surfy slide-style electric guitar, mysterious, exotic brass and reverb-laden electric guitar and drums all plod purposefully and carefully across the track. Saxophone solos smoothly, then duets, twangy electric guitar plays Tinariwen, desert rock-style, all in to finish. Thoughtful, exotic, mysterious and suspenseful, would suit a quiet Film/TV scene set in an intriguing, new place, our character immersed in a new and curious world.
Relaxed jazz/lounge instrumental. Easy breezy intro of soothing retro keys, plodding double bass and shuffling drums, Then woozy, effects-laden guitar, psychedelic keys and warm, lazy brass. Grows in volume and power to an enveloping brass section. Calm, chilled, expansive and hypnotising, a jazzy dart of tranquillising calm for TV/Film/adverts.
Reggae track with electric guitar. Keys, bass, and drums holding down the mid-tempo rhythm, warm, retro electric guitar soloing, laid back brass interludes and a faraway male vocal chorus. Smooth, chilled, relaxed, easy vintage Rocksteady sound, would suit TV/Film/Doc usage for warm, soothing scenes or for adverts for laid back summer plans.
Spacey synth track. Arpeggiated robotic synth, blobby beats, steady drums, stellar synth sound effects. Futuristic, celestial and expansive, perfect Kraftwerk-style retro soundtrack to a fun documentary or a playful advert. The sound of the future, as imagined in the ’70s.
1 min loopable fragment of ambient electronica. Liquid synths imitating nature, a tropical rainforest of samples and a bubbling electronic stream. Dynamic and fresh yet calming, would suit a TV/Film scene set in a lush, intoxicating landscape or a dynamic corporate video.
Melodic electronic track with strings. Bassy electronic beats, sombre synth and unsentimental strings. Smooth, sophisticated and slightly serious, would suit an advert for a glamorous new automobile or a thoughtful interlude on TV/Film.
Relaxed reggae/jazz track. Mellow, plodding bass with a slow guitar skank to start. Laid back brass enters, piano solos around the same riff, followed by a strange meandering reverb-heavy sax solo. All then riff together to an unexpected electronic ending. Warm, relaxed, jazzy yet sparse, subtle reggae to suit a blissed-out advert or Film/TV scenes of lazing on a Caribbean island, or chilling in a hot and hazy inner city block party.
An atmospheric soundscape of extended strings and electronic drones. Synth and strings drones undulate while a sparse, heavily processed guitar punctuates. The pace quickens with more prominent synth before a fade out. Atmospheric, ambient, silvery and cold- ideal for a tense TV scene, a moment of reflection and introspection for our character as he gazes out on a cold, barren landscape.
A slow and unhurried build with synth strings and radiant tonal swirls. A roving bass line joins at 0:40. At 2:09 it breaks into something classy, a laid back but grooving rhythm section bears down and comes into its own at 3:33, losing the swirling synths, but adding rhythmic piano stabs. At 7:05 the swirls are back but now pulsing in time; at 7:49 our original strings and swirls are back again, finally at 9:14 the track gradually breaks down towards a faded end. Glamourous and dreamy with a killer groove. I’d imagine this working for a sophisticated branding video, for luxury products and/or spaces.
Melancholic with a playful edge, with honest acoustic guitars and a piercing violin performance that create a nice tune with a middle/southern European feeling. Will play well both in slightly over the top romantic comedies and generally in applications where a classy yet stereotypical representation of romance is needed.
