A Body Up Against Itself

Folk rock instrumental. Short ambient intro, then main intro of mandolin with strummed guitar chords, solid drums a strong bass line join, adding punch and depth. Arpeggiated synth then an electronic break with synth strings, muted, faraway drums and atmospheric synth before the drums, bass and guitar kick in again. Confident and strident, yet thoughtful, folky with a harsh rock edge, perfect TV theme music to suit a terrestrial drama, or for an adventure/travel advert for the British outdoors.

No Drums, Stems and Ad length versions available

Bluesy rock ‘n’ roll track. Brazen electric guitar riff and wailing guitar feedback, joined by punchy drums and a funky bass line. A new guitar melody followed by a new section, more electronic, glitchy and sample-heavy, moving into espionage movie territory. Brash, urgent and confident, like Red Hot Chilli Peppers soundtracking a Jason Bourne film, perfect chase music, either by car or on foot, through unfamiliar urban streets, or across continents.

Gritty grunge rock. Light, scratchy electric guitar intro, followed by all out fuzzy effects-laden guitar chorus. Simple bass guitar and steady drums accompany a lighter break before the heavy chorus re-enters. Righteous, punchy and perfect for slow head-banging, like early Nirvana, 90s grunge to suit dark TV/Film, incendiary documentary scenes and reckless adverts.

When I Run

Jazz-pop instrumental. Drum roll, Rhodes piano intro, then a punchy brass riff. Steady drum and keyboard groove before the riff returns. Trumpet solo. Laid back, upbeat and positive, like a slightly cheesy theme tune to a jolly American sitcom.

Moody electronic intrigue. Pulsating electronic beats, anticipatory synth strings, fizzling synths punctuated by throbbing beats. A plinky plonk melody enters, the repeated synth notes building tension. Choppy orchestral strings, fleeting echoing synth and crackling feedback. Mysterious, suspenseful and nerve-wracking, perfect for a tense TV/Film scene, sneaking around corners, tip-toeing across creaky floorboards, trying to remain invisible because the consequences could be grave.

Instrumental soulful jazz. Theremin effect over woozy brass intro with subtle keyboard chords. Drums and bass guitar enter, brass moves to a more melodic motif. Electric guitar flourishes then electric guitar and vibraphone melody. Change of pace to a more percussive gallop rhythm with horns. Back to bass, floating theremin and lazy brass and a dreamy guitar and brass melody, like bobbing on the ocean. Upbeat, driving rhythmic section on keys, drums and guitar, punchy brass and soulful saxophone build before slowing to a finish. Relaxed, lush, warm and hopeful, would suit a retro Film/TV scene, growing in excitement, tension building, or a romantic moment on screen where tenderness swings to all out love.

Solo Piano version available.

Me First

Dark electronic thriller. Fat synths, punchy beats and samples, underwater synth line, beats intensify with a driving synth melody line and frenetic arpeggiated synths. Cold, motorik and brazen, like an aural skydive, would suit a macho action film, or an advert for a bombastic place or product.

Punchy urban electronic track. Dramatic 90s-inspired catchy synth strings, bouncy beats, unforgiving electric guitar and church music choral samples. Serious, forceful and full of conviction, a modern mash up of guitar and beats perfect for an youth advert or for a heightened moment in a contemporary TV show.

Stay All Night

Punchy electronic track. Steady crunchy beats, chunky synth, arpeggiated shiny synth and a summery chord progression. Determined, focussed, brash and confident, would suit a brazen character onscreen or a self-assured advert for a glamorous product.

New Sound Born Instrumental
