Take A Stand

Country instrumental with slide guitar. Confident slide guitar accompanied by steady drums, bass and acoustic guitar to start. Honky tonk rhythm introduced on electric guitar, adds texture. Country-style violin solos over the groove. The slide re-enters accompanied by choppy violin. Upbeat, charming and fun, perfect retro, line-dancin’ country music for TV sequences and family adverts.

Riviera Swing

Melancholic with a playful edge, with honest acoustic guitars and a piercing violin performance that create a nice tune with a middle/southern European feeling. Will play well both in slightly over the top romantic comedies and generally in applications where a classy yet stereotypical representation of romance is needed.

Start again

Sincere and relaxed, with piano, glockenspiel, and vocals that make for an acoustic pop song. It follows a common structure stanza/chorus/stanza/chorus, alternating vocals with glockenspiel to sustain the refrain. Peaceful and serene, it will play well as title track and background for advertising.

Girl from Sandymount beach

Delicate and touching, with a gentle piano performance and an acoustic guitar that make for a tender impression in the vein of melancholic comedies but also period dramas. An acoustic guitar introduces us to the theme in the first 20 seconds, creating the space in the middle part for a grand piano to complement the scene. Towards the end of the piece the latter is protagonist and uses both hands to fulfil the arrangement.

How’s God? She’s Black

The title is taken from this piece of graffiti on the Berlin Wall. Piano and classic guitar led, with gamelan, and a string section. Tender, hopeful and positive with hypnotic piano riffs revolving in the background. A pause leads to a frenetic middle section which bursts into a sudden epic string section, similarly disappearing to leave a tender vulnerable ending. Nods to Steve Reich, The Penguin Cafe Orchestra and The Books.

Stories and Stones

Catchy and uplifting, with a folk acoustic guitar and a warm male choirs that create an interesting and compelling episode of indie acoustic folk. The second part develops into a fully arranged piece with increased complexity. Several applications, from emotional and in your face commercials to soundtracks for dramas and bittersweet comedies

Brasil

Warm and sincere, an ambient episode with traces of tender melancholic elements. Emotional acoustic arpeggios and evocative solos of trumpet and acoustic guitar create a wonderful sense of longing in space and time. As the title suggests, there is indeed a south American edge here, but definitely more in a calm-sunset-on-a-beach sausade way than carnival party time.

Manifesto

Emotional and tender, with an all in open-pedal piano and a light orchestral arrangement that make for a classic inspirational tune. With a grandiose feeling and a straight rhythmical pattern that gradually takes over until the end, it will suit classy short form advertising that musically needs to match a gradual grow in intensity without being too blatant.

Goodnight

Peaceful and bright, with a confident yet tender acoustic guitar and delicate piano inserts that build a relaxing and mellow episode of music. It gains strength and develops harmonically in the last 30 seconds. A bass guitar helps to deliver an effective coda that will suit the end of a cinematic sequence or advertising pieces.
