Wistful solo jazz piano. A sustained note intro like raindrops followed by jazz chords, piano trills and a full melody. Pastoral, breathless and new, calling to mind the natural landscape, would suit a thoughtful film/doc/TV scene passing over a lush landscape refreshed and awake after a storm or a long winter.

Multi-instrumental version with warm strings, mellow saxophone and shuffling percussion joined by tinkling piano and a freak folk chorus of faraway voices, calling to mind Wickerman-style pagan England.

Solo jazz piano. Early jazz of the American South meets Tin Pan Alley with some Nuyorican soul, an opening chordal melody elaborated on through dynamic piano solos. Expansive, joyous, dizzy with the possibilities of the big city, would suit a film/doc/TV scene evoking a vibrant multicultural history.

Pensive solo piano waltz. Waltz rhythm to begin with with a mournful, romantic accompanying melody. Opens into an oom pah pah section with tinkling high piano notes before returning to the original wistful theme. Sombre and melancholy yet idealistic and romantic, European in style and mood, calling to mind French clowns with sad faces, this would suit a scene in a moody European film or a thoughtful documentary.

Uplifting acoustic guitar track. Gentle, hopeful acoustic guitar riff, sparse drum beats punctuate the melody. Shaker percussion, piano chords and subtle bass guitar introduced. A slight build then back to the opening mood. Mellow, warm and positive, evoking the potential of America’s wide open plains. Would suit a cosy TV sequence or a advert for a company who want to take life’s problems off your hands. Sunshine after the rain.

Country-style violin-led track. Walking bass, drums, gently strummed guitar and a jaunty fiddle melody. Energetic electric slide guitar solo introduced in new section. Fiddle rejoins and plays a countermelody. Laid-back and happy, reminiscent of Spongebob Squarepants’ underwater backwater, perfect for a kitsch ode to the old country on Film/TV or a jokey advert.

Cute folky acoustic guitar track. Simple acoustic guitar melody begins, joined by jaunty double bass. Plucked guitar strings accentuate the groove, replaced by staccato violins before a new section welcomes gentle strummed acoustic guitar and a prominent violin melody. Delicate glockenspiel punctuates the folky melody. Fun, playful, sweet and hopeful, perfect for a cute, wholesome advert for a fun family experience like a visit to a miniature pig farm.

Live instrumental acoustic guitar saga. Raw blues/folk acoustic guitar melody, repetitive melodic motifs. Lyrical mid-section to a more tense, frantic part, alternating between drama and calm moments. End section is like something out of a Western film, tense and sparse, with dramatic slide guitar, to a hopeful finger-picking final section. Sombre, dramatic and epic with moments of light, the nature of the live recording adding interesting imperfections. Different sections would suit various Film/TV/Documentary moments, would suit an American road trip or a nature documentary explore the American Wild West.
