Images d’une Pensée

Lyrical solo piano track. Gentle repeated piano motif, quick and insistent. Bass chords added, melody expands and counter melody is added, higher register, volume and greater depth. Slips to a quiet lull before a dramatic melodic chordal crescendo. Romantic, bright and hopeful, uplifting piano music with a French feel for inspiring adverts or euphoric TV moments.

Alt version is at a slower pace.

Electronic instrumental with samples. Gradual build. First, a beat and electronic sound effects, hi hat drums added, other electronics join. Full melody join, the beats settle into a steady groove. New section introduces laser synths and whooshing electronics before the beat re-emerges with simple repetitive synth, a powerful, purposeful strut. Intriguing, playful and mysterious, like the quirky electronics of Moderat. Suitable for a European advert, maybe for a car that can navigate tiny Italian streets. Could also accompany a determined character on TV/Film.

Ad length versions available.

Like An Angel

Anticipatory electronic track. Fade In. Moody beats, fat synths and a repetitive melodic synth motif emerge fully formed. An insistent 4/4 beat underpins 90s-style samples and electronic flourishes. Determined, serious, yet upbeat, would suit a half sophisticated, half cheesy advert for a functional product, think chrome and flashes of steel, shiny and indestructible. Would also suit Film/TV scenes of anticipation and action.

Solo piano track. Slow-paced piano motif, repeated, joined by ghostly effects-laden single piano notes, building anticipation. Further piano layers added and subtle sustained strings and a soft pulsating beat. Atmospheric, suspenseful and pensive. The clue is in the title, perfect for an onscreen moment of reflection, introspection, a decision in the making, moving slowly but surely toward new possibilities, leaving the past behind.

Tonight We Drink Wine and Dance

Melancholy solo piano. Amélie-style minor oom-pah chords, growing in intensity and embellishment throughout the track. Another line of piano plays a lyrical melody above the regular chords. An energetic chorus brings a modulation and intricate break. Back to opening chords for a finish. Emotional and wretched, yet passionate, would suit an advert or TV scene requiring Gallic charm and impulsive, reckless emotion.

‘Underscore’ version features chords only, no melody line.

Sierra Madre

Upbeat dub reggae/jazz/Balkan mix. Energetic vocal exclamation opens the track. Steady upbeat skanking on guitar joined by laid back saxophone, intermittent piano, ramshackle drums and bold vocal samples. Fun and energetic, but sunny and relaxed, would suit an advert for something synonymous with summer or a TV/Film playful party scene.

Below The Pits

Pensive solo piano waltz. Waltz rhythm to begin with with a mournful, romantic accompanying melody. Opens into an oom pah pah section with tinkling high piano notes before returning to the original wistful theme. Sombre and melancholy yet idealistic and romantic, European in style and mood, calling to mind French clowns with sad faces, this would suit a scene in a moody European film or a thoughtful documentary.

Plodding open-ended synth track with strings. Blobby beats, serious 80s/90s synths and dramatic choppy strings over a relentless steady beat. Stern, sophisticated and exotic, would suit a dramatic film scene featuring glamourous European subterfuge, or an advert for a classy product that will drive others mad with jealousy.

Piano & Carousel Mix 2

Gentle ad-length piano waltz. A dynamic piano solo that swoops and twirls delicately like an old-fashioned carousel. Romantic, hopeful and free, perfect for an advert where we’re being swept of our feet in a polite, merry dance.

Positive No Matter What

Repetitive arpeggio on the left hand with a wistful, romantic yet melancholy melody above. European, emotive and serious, but with a hint of sunshine and hope, suitable for a rainy TV/Film sequence or a cautionary advert.
