Blistering electronic dance track segment, suitable for looping. Drum ‘n’ bass beats, laser synths and an electronic pulse dart frenetically over a dystopian soundscape. Tense, threatening and fast-paced, perfect as a textural soundscape for a dark action movie chase scene as our troubled Jason Bourne-like hero narrowly outsmarts the baddies.
Semi-invented Crime
A free jazz build on piano, drums and orchestral strings. Shifting sustained orchestral strings growing increasingly mysterious, jazz double bass and bongos. Jazz drums introduced, snatches of solo melody on violin. Taken down a notch by a cool drum solo before a violin and piano take solos accompanied by shuffling drums and energetic bongos in an improvised free jazz homage. Ambient at first, then searching, mysterious and intriguing and intense and finally reckless and daring, suitable for TV/Film tension-building or for a thrilling moment of release.
Black Stone (Suite)
Relaxed acoustic shuffle with hints of electronica. Acoustic guitar, shuffling drums and bright, fleeting electronic samples build to a steady laid-back groove, alternating between acoustic sections and more electronics-heavy breaks. Passionate, hopeful and romantic, would suit an intense emotional scene or a pensive onscreen road trip.
Vocal version is even more romantic, with breathy male vocals and tender lyrics.
Her
Emotional piano build. Solo piano motif joined by plucked strings, builds to include additional piano parts. Orchestral strings added add warmth. Flower Duet-style female vocal lends a classical sensibility and sense of drama before the piece returns to the simple piano/string motif. Searching, positive, caring and feel-good, like stepping out of the shadows into warm sunshine, perfect for a healthcare advert, or any product promoting a positive change and a happy, healthy life.
Xray Spex
Drum ‘n’ bass-influenced hyper pop. Laser synths bust out the intro, with anticipatory synth chords and repeated melody on high pitched synth. Tune drops with DnB beats, arpeggiated synth, fat synth chords, samples and whoosh effects. Excited and happy with a hint of thoughtful nostalgia, young, romantic, emotional Skrillex-style pop to suit fashion adverts or cool, contemporary TV/Doc sequences.
Remote
Bouncy electronic track. Duo of arpeggiated synth lines, the punchy beat drops, groovy synth line, joined by high-hat drums. Melodic break of 90s-style percussive synth, a beat break, before an outro straight out of a French house track: warm, anticipatory major synth chords and a mellow bassline. Suspenseful at first, excited, upbeat, groovy and fun with a slight element of danger. suitable for a serious action film scene that gains a sense of humour as the action progresses. Or a chase scene or advert of varying moods, with an ever-changing backdrop throughout.
Tickety Tock
Tense, percussive electronic track. High-tension, high-pitched, high-speed cowbell beats over sparse pounding drums and fleeting percussive and electronic effects. A trance synth beat takes things down before piano chords introduce a hyperactive finale. Nerve-wracking, exciting and full of anticipation, a nail-biting percussive race with Balearic House vibes, suitable for a any TV/Film/Advert scene where the heat is on and the clock is ticking.
Thrill of the Kill
A synth-rock banger. Drum intro builds to electric guitar riff with pounding drums, a more melodic section is followed by a drum break,tension building to the max before the original theme returns with a vengeance. Dark, edgy, brash, rock ‘n’ roll, suitable for Fast and the Furious-style macho Film/TV scenes, or for ads for flaming massive whopper burgers with extra spicy sides…not for the faint-hearted.
