A free jazz build on piano, drums and orchestral strings. Shifting sustained orchestral strings growing increasingly mysterious, jazz double bass and bongos. Jazz drums introduced, snatches of solo melody on violin. Taken down a notch by a cool drum solo before a violin and piano take solos accompanied by shuffling drums and energetic bongos in an improvised free jazz homage. Ambient at first, then searching, mysterious and intriguing and intense and finally reckless and daring, suitable for TV/Film tension-building or for a thrilling moment of release.

Piano and Cello

Sombre piano and cello track with subtle sound effects. Crackling record player static and cello sound effects underlie minor piano arpeggios and sustained, emotive cello. Thoughtful, melancholy and yearning, imagine a desolate TV/Film sequence set on a grey, rainy street in a European city in the aftermath of a devastating event.

The Wall Pt 1 & 2

Atmospheric piano track with mechanical sound effects. Clunking and whirring background sound effects, like the inner workings of a pocket watch and the tapping of typewriter keys, underpin slow piano chords and lyrical orchestral strings, growing in emotional intensity throughout with added strings and more melodic, powerful piano. Introspective, pensive and nostalgic, would suit a TV/Film sequence set in 19th century Paris, or a scene evoking the mechanical workings of a dark, lonely city.

Pt 2 features sparse piano as well as harp and pizzicato violin strings.

Dark, foreboding electronic track. Synth blasts, sirens sounds, screeching string samples and electronic glitches. Tense, threatening music for a post-apocalyptic world, where technology has surpassed human intelligence and machines are our unforgiving masters. Uh oh! Also suitable for sleek and powerful car adverts or an intense sports competition.

Synth-pop instrumental. Synth motif over crisp, steady beats with woozy synth layers and snatches of melody on top. Motorik, moody, atmospheric. Darkness smeared with bright colour, suitable for a moody montage on Film/TV, a cool nighttime scene or fashion/lifestyle advertising.

Atmospheric drone-y electronic soundscape with church bell samples and orchestral strings. A vast, sustained plain of sound with flickers of electronics, church bell samples anchored by slowly shifting orchestral strings. Calm, tranquil, hopeful, serene and cinematic, suitable for a film/TV moment of reflection or transition, or an epic ad, evoking a mystical time.

Atmospheric slow burn with orchestral strings and electronics. A synth drone with electric guitar, fleeting electronics and a theremin-like synth line above a orchestral build bringing to mind a vast landscape. Subtle strummed guitar suggests the plains of old Western movies. Calm, relaxed, thoughtful and epic, suitable for an expansive film/tv/ad moment, a moment of calm but determined intensity.

Atmospheric pulsating electronics that turn into an indie-style track. Psychedelic Broadcast-like electronic drone build up like radio static with pulsating synth, flickering beats and anticipatory piano chords. Gives way to a driving indie section with punchy drums bass guitar softened by synthy electronics. Intimate, mysterious, cool and romantic, this track brings curious anticipation and then colourful euphoria- playful uncertainty before the joy and excitement of a life-changing moment.

Panic Amongst the Dragonflies

Mysterious multi-instrumental. Atmospheric feedback intro followed by oom-pah-pah waltz rhythm and childish marimba melody. Orchestral strings and accordion join with a Gallic-inspired melody, reminiscent of Amélie. The melancholy gives way to excitable, erratic rhythms on all instruments, before a dynamic final section with passionate violin and jumpy marimba. Magical, melancholy and manic, perfect music to accompany a rainy midnight walk through the streets of Paris, only to end up in a sleazy speakeasy at the centre of an absinthe-sodden freakshow.

Dusk Till Dawn

Atmospheric electronic track. Reverb-laden piano, church-like reverberations with delicate, sparse electric guitar and fleeting electronics added. Orchestral strings play out sustained notes with single, bending violin notes crying out on top. Downbeat, melancholy, pensive but with a hopeful nostalgia, like wandering home through empty streets in the middle of the night, perfect for a reflective TV/Doc/Film scene or a thoughtful advert.
