Funky guitar instrumental. Wocka wocka guitar, funky slap bass and 90s keys, with retro samples and electronic effects. Woozy, laid back and upbeat, the 70s as imagined in the 90s, a stoner on a spacehopper. Fun slacker music for easy going adverts or 90s throwback TV.

Get Charged (Righteous Remix)
Funky 90s vocal and sample track. Vocals burst in from the start, laid back 90s samples, squelchy beats, cymbals, funky keys. Added orchestral strings add a serious note under the breezy beats. Chilled and cool with a slightly serious edge, a mash up of samples and influences, swinging between cool and intense. Ultimately a funky call to action.
Non-vocal version available.
You Got the Sun
Laid back country rock track. Funky electric guitar riff with solid bass guitar, steady drums and bright piano chords. Slightly psychedelic, slightly brit-pop but mostly country pop/rock instrumental, Oasis’ long-lost country album. Upbeat and happy-go-lucky like a cheeky cowboy, would suit relaxed adverts for American-style foodstuffs or an easy, breezy TV/Realty TV scene.
Wish You Weren’t Here
Sunny funk track. Funky Prince-like funk guitar intro, electric guitar funk riff with melodic bass guitar and consistent drums. Bright, whistling organ joins on top for the chorus. New section with warm 60s keyboard solo over a slower funk. Moved to a smooth, slightly Spanish guitar solo. A quiet guitar break then back to full chorus. Upbeat, joyful and positive, perfect for a TV montage or holiday advert, sunshine and holidays, playful abandon and laughs with friends.
Afro Hang
A funky African-style percussive track with synth and vocal samples. Bongo percussion kicks off with some playful whistle samples. Synth sequence underneath surfaces as another percussion line and female vocal sample and bass are added to the build. A break, steel drum plays a simple melodic motif, then all in with added funk guitar. A steady groove reigns supreme on this track. Determined, Proud, Positive and Joyous. Suitable for a action-packed build up on a tv clip or ad, or for sports coverage, suggesting a sense of unity, pride, team spirit and determination.
Damn Good Thing
A 90s style hip hop, jazz-inspired track with vocal samples. Jazzy Jeff-style vinyl scratching, vocal samples repeating “damn good thing”, electronic glitches and sustained keyboard chords create a Nuyorican vibe to start this track. More vocal samples are introduced, with a keyboard melody, child’s vocals, jazzy hip hop drums, ending on the vox sample “my colleagues and I are from another planet”. Chilled, jazzy and cool, this track’s 90s throwback vinyl scratching and laid back hip hop vibes would add a vintage streetwise but soulful feel to adverts or tv sequences.
Bipolar
Made up of three contrasting sections. First, a futuristic pastoral soundscape with a pan-pipe-like tribal-sounding repeated synth note calling out across the landscape. Then blobby liquid percussion, piano, glitchy electronics and drums interplay until they launch into a drum ‘n’ bass section. Birdsong and a return to nature follow, with forest sounds and a repeated electronic pulse. Next section seeps in with blissful major chords, dreamy glittering electronic fx, soulful beats and dubby bass. A spoken word sample situates us in hip-hop/jazz territory. The voice repeats “walk on, walk tall”, as sparkling synth gives way to birdsong and water. At times, tense, tribal and spiritual, moving to chilled, soulful and inspired, this would suit before/after adverts for a product meant to inspire, slow you down and change your life for the better.
Funker
A straight-up funk jam with guitar, bass, drums and saxophone. A synthesised guitar sound, walking bass and steady 4/4 drums enter with a classic funk guitar riff on top. Sax-like chord bursts, wah guitar and busier drums get us excited, then we’re back to the original groove again. A brief saxophone break, then the funk resumes. Positive, chilled-out, laid-back and cool. A 70s groove to strut to. Cruising through an American city in technicolour, with playful attitude.
Sidewalk Strut (Instrumental)
A smooth and steady funk groove. Hi-hat and broken guitar chords are joined by a walking bass, guitar melody and kick drums. Sax and bongos get the party started, before a busy bass line, funk guitar chords and more bursts of sax take things up a notch. Dramatic melodic stabs toward the end build anticipation for the return to funkytown. Laid-back, cool, chilled but fun and funky fresh. Imagine the opening credits of a 70s cop buddy show, as the unlikely pair cruise around NYC, or a pastiche of this genre. Also suitable for advertising products guaranteed to give you a good time.
Murmuration
Jazz instrumental. Electric guitar phrase repeated, marimba enter with a contrasting motif, dynamic drums and breezy brass on top. Short break before a funky bass, marimba, keyboard and sax solo section. 70s wocka wocka electric guitar with polyphonic rhythms. Psychedelic keyboards continue the 70s vibe with jazz brass. Gentle, bubbling guitar and keys section, drums join and brass re-enters. Ends on a blast of brass. Fun, sophisticated and positive, would suit a documentary, film trailer or some other journey on film, effortlessly moving across borders, styles and genres.
