Hypnotic improvisational string track on Cretan lyra. Layers of overlapping Cretan lyra play drone-like modal phrases. At 3 minutes, the various lines come together along with added percussion, to form a more driving, unified, full melody, growing in intensity with hints of Irish folk music and Arabic music, to a powerful ending. Mesmerising, contemplative and experimental, singular sounds for a documentary looking at lesser-known cultures, spiritual places or undefinable combinations of cultures.

Pastoral flute septet. Various flute lines dance in counterpoint with an enchanting melody and hints of English folk. Regal, jaunty with a darkness beneath. Prim and proper interweaving flutes, perfect bewitching fantasy film music, conjuring up visions of the scary, dark forest scene from a classic Disney film, or the playful trouble-making of a Robin Hood figure.

Light electronic rock track. 90s-style wavy electric guitar chords over a rhythmic guitar intro, Heavy guitar pedal effects on the guitar melody, drowsy and psychedelic with grungy slacker vibes. The drums give a hint of slinky 80s nostalgia. Moody, sexy and slightly dark and tortured, like every character in My So-Called Life, perfect for 90s throwback adverts or documentaries, and trippy montages.

Atmospheric electronic track. Synth drones with metallic electronics, fleeting sound effects and glassy beats with snatches of retro 60s keyboard melodies on top. Ends with Broadcast-like crackly, pulsating synth drone. Psychedelic, chilled and immersive, slightly serious and introspective, would suit a mind-bending scene in a Film/Doc/TV show.

Gentle pastoral orchestral string track with soothing male vocals. Slow, atmospheric intro of harp and percussion establishes a hypnotic plod before male ‘Aaahs’ softly wash over the instrumental bed. Subtle sustained woodwind added, along with sparkling percussion and orchestral strings, tambourine and flute. Calm, peaceful with a hint of excited anticipation. The Wicker man meets Green Man Festival, perfect for a fantastical film moment, a trippy woodland adventure, a Wicker Man-style , or nature documentaries.

Spacey drone soundscape. Electronic drone like a radiophonic sound experiment builds to include brass and orchestral instruments, suddenly situating us in outer space. Shifting chords give a note of hope and positivity, pizzicato orchestral strings tip-toe on the floating drone bed. Strings reach a minor chord, a hint of danger before a quiet resolution. Meditative, floaty and dreamy, a calm and peaceful journey through the quiet of space with hints of tension, perfect for a documentary about celestial bodies or a human drama on the big screen.

Macho guitar and synth track. Chiming, fast-paced piano chords with muted percussion underpin the intro with a brash electric guitar melody joining above. Bass guitar introduces a fuller section with solid drums and more guitar. Harpsichord-like synth break imitates the piano chords, all instruments rejoin. Determined, driven and serious, the perfect no-nonsense track for an investigative documentary or neutral commercial.

Piano and orchestral string build. Orchestral strings undulate under soaring strings building to a powerful percussive section with vocal-like electronic samples and continuing epic strings. Quiet section with vocals then percussion rejoins building anticipation and tension to a multi-layered textural soundscape. Contrasting soft piano section to finish. Strange, dark and intriguing, pagan sounds reminiscent of singular Scandinavian pop like the Knife. Perfect for an onscreen threat or a bold, epic and uncanny film or TV scene.
