Darklands (Suite)

A frenetic percussive track hurtling toward a dramatic conclusion. Pounding high-octane drums, a low foreboding synth drone, cymbal crashes. A machine-like electronic tone builds tension to a cacophony of heavier drums joined by unsettling electronic feedback. Glitchy electronics intensify to fragmented chaos. Tense, unsettling and breathless, suited to the thrilling climax of a chase scene, a terrifying manhunt or a high-energy advert for a powerful substance.

Perc + FX only Polyphonic drum layers growing in strength and intensity. the futuristic electronic effects coupled with the pounding drums creates a visceral impression of a dark, dangerous post-apocalyptic cityscape.

Perc only conjures images of warfare on unknown territories, troops in a jungle environment pursued by guerilla fighters. Also suitable for adverts for any difficult task, or uphill battle.

Badlands (Suite)

A pulsating percussive thriller of a track, teeming with tension. Throbbing bassy percussion and arpeggiated percussive synth intensify into a terse, tense, thrilling melody. Added synth strings heighten the tension while a symphony of drums pound beneath, ending with a foreboding sustained crash. Anxiety-inducing, exciting and nerve-wracking. Perfect for a high-octane movie chase sequence, pushing characters to the extremes of human emotion; a particularly tense reality TV challenge sequence; or an advert for something to help you through life’s most challenging moments.

The percussion only version omits the anxiety-inducing melody, leaving the cacophony of drums below to pound purposefully to the close of the track.

Late Night Rendezvous

Sultry late night jazz. Skulking double bass, romantic celeste melody, lazy, loping jazz drums. Smooth saxophone solos over the laid back foundation. Moody, seductive, late night jazz, would suit a slow-paced advert or retro, nostalgic TV/Film scene where our characters’ eyes meet across a half-empty bar…a lovesick detective and a sassy divorcee…both tired and jaded…but have they given up on love?

Bed track features Drums and Double Bass Only.

The K

Upbeat track led by synth samples and hip hop drums. Shooting spacey synth sample with syncopated jazzy chords on top. Boom bap hip hop drums introduced, then a subtle melodic synth line. Interlude with drums and interlaced spacey bell-like synth samples. Ends on synth melody alone. Positive and relaxed, yet upbeat and energetic, this track would suit travel docs or film/tv montage sequences.

Ripped Off

A sample-heavy 90s hip hop-inspired track. Starting with a low rumble sound effect, the boom bap beat drops, then brass section samples, orchestral-style string samples, and spacey electronic samples complete the 90s pastiche. Intrigue, glamour and danger are evoked but in a goofy way- hip hop James Bond.

Peaceful Place

A 90s-inspired-by-the-70s chill-out jazzy hip hop jam with drums, bass and keys. Drums and bass keep things steady as mellow repeated keyboard chords and a twinkling keyboard motif play on top. Cool, romantic, laid back and warm, this mellow jam would suit retro tv and film scenes where our character drives or struts through familiar streets.

Hop Shop

A breezy instrumental using hip hop samples. Solo, hip hop-style drums introduce the track. Vinyl scratching and vocal samples join in. A breezy keyboard and bass guitar line enter with a laid back groove that lasts for the whole track. A recurring motif of acoustic guitar samples and a drum break midway break up the steady repeated keyboard chord progression. Cool, fresh, relaxed and a bit edgy, this track would be suitable for travel/music docs, tv or film evoking breezy inner city life, or 90s nostalgia trips.

Heavenly Creations

A 90s-style trippy shuffle. Repeated keyboard melody, shuffling boom bap hip hop drums, slow-motion electronic whooshes and warm dynamic bass guitar. Ambiguous, atmospheric and warm but with underlying danger. Suitable for film and television as well as campaign videos. Following a character from evening through nightfall, as he goes about his usual wheelings and dealings in his city. Slightly dangerous 90s druggy slacker vibes.

Flying Feeling

A 90s inspired, chilled out jazzy hip hop track. A 4-3-2-1, vocal countdown then chilled out piano, warm mellow synth and samples take the lead. A boom bap hip hop beat drops, laid back and blissed out. Piano becomes more prominent, then golden sustained synth chords hang, waiting for resolution. A fuzzy synth repeated phrase is hard to pin down, flying free, not landing, no resolution. Hopeful, warm, inspired and free, this track would suit film and tv sequences. Driving through deserted city streets on a sunny evening, sun low in the sky, bleached out visuals, orange light on tarmac. Freedom and serenity.

Damn Good Thing

A 90s style hip hop, jazz-inspired track with vocal samples. Jazzy Jeff-style vinyl scratching, vocal samples repeating “damn good thing”, electronic glitches and sustained keyboard chords create a Nuyorican vibe to start this track. More vocal samples are introduced, with a keyboard melody, child’s vocals, jazzy hip hop drums, ending on the vox sample “my colleagues and I are from another planet”. Chilled, jazzy and cool, this track’s 90s throwback vinyl scratching and laid back hip hop vibes would add a vintage streetwise but soulful feel to adverts or tv sequences.
