Learning to Walk

Piano track with orchestral strings. Repetitive piano, broken harp chords and scratchy string overtones fades out. Returns with lyrical cello melody and more dynamic piano melody. Builds with fuller strings and many layers of activity. Builds further with choppy strings, fuller bass parts and soaring violin melodies over insistent piano. After this storm, the clouds part, revealing a softer, more gentle strings section, breaking into a major key, hints of sunshine. Final section is a decidedly sombre string part. Repetitive, urgent and dramatic, like contemporary Philip Glass piano minimalism with added cinematic string flourish. Perfect for tense factual TV/Docs or a thrilling advert for a stylish, highly covetable new product.

Night Falls OG

Clean electronic track with drones. Slow, sustained harsh electronic, sitar-like drones, high pitched and spiritual. The tune drops, bleepy, cute and warm, sounding ultra modern with a suggestion of African rhythms. Drones re-enter, causing an interesting clash of moods, bright and bubbly vs pensive and introspective. Beat break, beats return and drones intensify. Mysterious and other-wordly, new and ancient, sparkling electronics contract with harsher, earthier tones, at once like Mura Masa feat, Charli XCX and Indian classical music. Would suit a fresh advert or TV show, visuals both cutting edge and ethereal.

Slow Spectres

Orchestral thriller. Tense, sustained orchestral strings, with quirky orchestral percussion. Repeated suspenseful violin motif joins on top, followed by mysterious walking piano notes. Determined plucked strings and higher register violin take things up a notch. Rumbling, stomping percussion to a cacophonous, threatening section with more prominent piano and horn blasts. Dark, foreboding and full of anticipation, perfect for a commercial of epic proportions, a faux-epic pastiche, or dramatic TV/Doc scenes showcasing the brutal force of Mother Nature.

Fuse

Gritty grunge rock. Light, scratchy electric guitar intro, followed by all out fuzzy effects-laden guitar chorus. Simple bass guitar and steady drums accompany a lighter break before the heavy chorus re-enters. Righteous, punchy and perfect for slow head-banging, like early Nirvana, 90s grunge to suit dark TV/Film, incendiary documentary scenes and reckless adverts.

Moonbow

Contemporary classical multi-instrumental track. Languid strings and soft piano, a gentle swaying melody. Strings trills. Chordal piano with hints of Japanese influence. New section, rhythmic, bouncy marimba and swooping, lush, woozy strings and contemplative piano. Relaxed, thoughtful and peaceful, like Satie x Studio Ghibli, a beautiful, colourful and playful set of contrasts to suit a romantic or devastatingly beautiful TV/Film scene.

Once A Squirrel

Multi-instrumental contemporary jazz/folk. Light-footed marimba intro into a marimba riff with counter melody. Violin and cello join with a brief melody, continue over the marimba. Polyrhythms emerge from multiple layerings and harmonies. Quiet marimba break before a burst of vigorous strings. Dynamic new section with sparse piano, strange rhythms and freely soloing marimba. Slow down and fade to finish. Playful, folky and a bit magical, secret goings on, covert, playful encounters and mysterious but jolly woodland fun. Like the soundtrack to a jaunty but slight dark Enid Blyton tale.

Images d’une Pensée

Lyrical solo piano track. Gentle repeated piano motif, quick and insistent. Bass chords added, melody expands and counter melody is added, higher register, volume and greater depth. Slips to a quiet lull before a dramatic melodic chordal crescendo. Romantic, bright and hopeful, uplifting piano music with a French feel for inspiring adverts or euphoric TV moments.

Alt version is at a slower pace.

Sure Thing

Commercial electronic pop track. Bouncy fat synth intro interspersed with bleepy synths and a chugging rhythmic beat base. Melodic synth section over the beats. Flute-like samples added. Sparse synth break, opens up to a bright, summery, warm synth section. Rhythmic section before dramatic key change, taking things up a notch to reach dizzying heights. Positive, happy and contemporary, like a Katy Perry instrumental. Now That’s What I Call Summer- slightly trashy holiday pop. Would suit reality TV or carefree, family adverts.

Fired Up

Upbeat indie rock instrumental. Introductory electric guitar riff, followed by energetic, pounding drums. A sharp stop and then a new section. Melodic bass lines and a rough, punky guitar sound bring to mind The Clash, but are closer in mood and feeling to Naughties British indie pop/rock like Artic Monkeys. Fun, youthful and jaunty with a heavier edge, perfect chase music, for bright, high-octane adverts or TV/Film montages where all the action happens.

No Guitar and No Drums versions available.

Awhrae

Emotional slow-paced string track. Melancholy string solo for 1 min, higher violin line joins, sparse, sombre piano chords punctuate the melody. Slowly shifting, the melody is shared, moments of light and bliss emerging through chordal changes. Further string lines join and the piano rings out on the higher register, a walking accompaniment in reminiscent of stately Baroque style. Strings multiply and build, piano gains strength to a powerful emotional effect. Beautiful, lyrical and sad, a sense of deep yearning permeates the track, perfect film music, cutting through a beautiful imagery, lending an air of nostalgia, romance and longing.
