Semi-invented Crime
A free jazz build on piano, drums and orchestral strings. Shifting sustained orchestral strings growing increasingly mysterious, jazz double bass and bongos. Jazz drums introduced, snatches of solo melody on violin. Taken down a notch by a cool drum solo before a violin and piano take solos accompanied by shuffling drums and energetic bongos in an improvised free jazz homage. Ambient at first, then searching, mysterious and intriguing and intense and finally reckless and daring, suitable for TV/Film tension-building or for a thrilling moment of release.

Bouncy electronic track. Duo of arpeggiated synth lines, the punchy beat drops, groovy synth line, joined by high-hat drums. Melodic break of 90s-style percussive synth, a beat break, before an outro straight out of a French house track: warm, anticipatory major synth chords and a mellow bassline. Suspenseful at first, excited, upbeat, groovy and fun with a slight element of danger. suitable for a serious action film scene that gains a sense of humour as the action progresses. Or a chase scene or advert of varying moods, with an ever-changing backdrop throughout.
The Sky’s Limits
High tension electronic track. Insistent synths attack, alternating between a rough fuzz and a clear pulsating synth sound. More layers added as the tension builds with panning beats escalating the tension. A piano outro gives some relief. We’re out of danger…for now. Moody downbeat electronic track. Intro of shimmering synth and finger-snap-style beat. Arpeggiated synth melody and underwater beats are joined by syncopated cowbell – sparse percussion over a wash of silvery synth. Bassy synth joins, adding depth to the track. Bollywood Love
Bollywood -style track with a contemporary R’n’B edge. A snaking sitar line is followed by tablas and an electronic beat. A flute melody joins before moving to a more intense, dramatic orchestral string section. Vocal samples and a change of rhythm with jazzy hip hop drums, before going back to the original sitar motif. Seductive, mysterious, intense and edgy, would suit adverts for products reflecting diverse city environments where the traditional and the contemporary mingle; or a TV/Film sequence referencing an edgy version of the Bollywood aesthetic.
Dive In
Smooth piano-led jazz track. Jaunty jazz piano riff over a bed of walking double bass and shuffling drums. Piano improvisations, before a double bass solo then back to piano soloing with accompanying chords beneath. Chilled, peaceful and positive, laid back jazz club vibes, perfect for breezy adverts or warm, comforting TV/Doc scenes.

Drina’s Heart
European jazz track. Plodding acoustic guitar and piano chords with steady, walking double bass, drums and accordion chords. Brazen violin plays an improvised melody on top. Accordion takes over on melody with playful snatches, before back to violin. Laid back and chilled, with a seductive and intriguing quality, perfect for advert/TV scenes evoking a retro idea of Paris – cobbled streets, tiny cars and sexy people.

Panic Amongst the Dragonflies
Mysterious multi-instrumental. Atmospheric feedback intro followed by oom-pah-pah waltz rhythm and childish marimba melody. Orchestral strings and accordion join with a Gallic-inspired melody, reminiscent of Amélie. The melancholy gives way to excitable, erratic rhythms on all instruments, before a dynamic final section with passionate violin and jumpy marimba. Magical, melancholy and manic, perfect music to accompany a rainy midnight walk through the streets of Paris, only to end up in a sleazy speakeasy at the centre of an absinthe-sodden freakshow.
