Take A Stand

Country instrumental with slide guitar. Confident slide guitar accompanied by steady drums, bass and acoustic guitar to start. Honky tonk rhythm introduced on electric guitar, adds texture. Country-style violin solos over the groove. The slide re-enters accompanied by choppy violin. Upbeat, charming and fun, perfect retro, line-dancin’ country music for TV sequences and family adverts.

The Real Business

Two part brass instrumental. Unsteady jazz piano and erratic saxophone notes begin before settling into a mellow, lyrical piano and sax melody with warm string swells. Slightly off-kilter tuning counteracts the sweetness of the melody, giving it a quirky edge. Dreamlike, nostalgic and strange, would suit a reflective documentary moment or a sentimental but not sickly-sweet Film/TV sequence.

How’s God? She’s Black

The title is taken from this piece of graffiti on the Berlin Wall. Piano and classic guitar led, with gamelan, and a string section. Tender, hopeful and positive with hypnotic piano riffs revolving in the background. A pause leads to a frenetic middle section which bursts into a sudden epic string section, similarly disappearing to leave a tender vulnerable ending. Nods to Steve Reich, The Penguin Cafe Orchestra and The Books.

Playful Orchestra

Sneaky and playful, with pizzicato strings, brass accents and an alluring theme embodied by woodwinds and violins. Somewhere in between a big orchestra and a folk band, it steadily increases in tempo as it progresses. Great for light and quirky advertising.

Binary Girl

Catchy and positive, with intense Moog-like arpeggiated synths, flashes of dubstep inserts, and compelling guitars to set the scene for a synth pop song structure in the domain of cool electronica. Available both with and without vocals, will play well as soundtrack for teen comedies and dramas, but also as advertising refrain.

Grassy Knees

Airy and positive, with effective piano chords and a pop-rock arrangement that complement the scene from 1:00 onwards. Claps and pizzicato strings add lightness and fun at minute 1:30. We are decisively in the corporate/showcase videos domain, although this is done with a warm and classy touch that will suit high level products, definitely inspirational without being too disruptive.

60414

Jaunty and sneaky, a nice patchwork of old style rock and roll piano chords, soul inserts, R&B and jazzy samples all caged in an energetic big beat structure. A saxophone comes and goes to complement this quirky and compelling episode of music.

Energetic with a modern feeling, featuring a compelling mix of electro synths and pop-rock instrumentation that deliver a perfect combo of inspirational coolness without getting too much in the way. Reminds a lesser version of some Coldplay hits. Ideal for bouncy corporate and inspirational videos.

Living Out Our Dreams

Serene and uplifting, with bright electric guitars and a happy-go-lucky upright piano that create a perfect flowing and warm mood. Arranged in a pop-rock fashion with a solid rhythmic base, will play well as title track for sitcoms and romantic comedies, but also as corporate playback bed.
