Sure Thing

Commercial electronic pop track. Bouncy fat synth intro interspersed with bleepy synths and a chugging rhythmic beat base. Melodic synth section over the beats. Flute-like samples added. Sparse synth break, opens up to a bright, summery, warm synth section. Rhythmic section before dramatic key change, taking things up a notch to reach dizzying heights. Positive, happy and contemporary, like a Katy Perry instrumental. Now That’s What I Call Summer- slightly trashy holiday pop. Would suit reality TV or carefree, family adverts.

Fired Up

Upbeat indie rock instrumental. Introductory electric guitar riff, followed by energetic, pounding drums. A sharp stop and then a new section. Melodic bass lines and a rough, punky guitar sound bring to mind The Clash, but are closer in mood and feeling to Naughties British indie pop/rock like Artic Monkeys. Fun, youthful and jaunty with a heavier edge, perfect chase music, for bright, high-octane adverts or TV/Film montages where all the action happens.

No Guitar and No Drums versions available.

A Victory For No One (Suite)

An warm, uplifting slow build on piano, with bubbling electronics and soaring orchestral strings. Atmospheric electronics introduce and add edge to a hopeful chord progression on piano. Orchestral strings join later, moving to a quietly euphoric finale. Positive, emotional, heart-warming and a bit love-struck, this emotional build would suit a love scene, or a scene in which our character succeeds against all odds.

No Strings version – A subtle string-like synth replaces full orchestral strings, electronics are more prominent.

No Piano version – Longer build up, Drive-like sustained bass synth notes hold the chord progression. Less sentimental.

40 second version – Shorter, with a quicker journey to the rapturous finale.

Like An Angel

Anticipatory electronic track. Fade In. Moody beats, fat synths and a repetitive melodic synth motif emerge fully formed. An insistent 4/4 beat underpins 90s-style samples and electronic flourishes. Determined, serious, yet upbeat, would suit a half sophisticated, half cheesy advert for a functional product, think chrome and flashes of steel, shiny and indestructible. Would also suit Film/TV scenes of anticipation and action.

Laid Bare 2

Atmospheric new age-style instrumental. Glistening, shimmering drums and effects-laden electric guitars with steel pan drums conjure a magical realm. Becomes slightly more sombre but still sparkles with hope. Gentle, calming and ambient, a spacey meditation, prefect for ethereal advert or reflective TV/Film/Doc scenes.

Sojourn

Gentle acoustic guitar track. Softly strummed acoustic guitar plays an ascending riff. Low key drums shuffle along, electric guitar adds subtle high-pitched highlights. Natural, laid back and chilled, a warm country-style track to suit bright, pastoral TV/Film scenes or uplifting advertising.

LCS 1

Upbeat, electronic rock stomper. Bouncy synth riff with DnB beats, pauses then crashes back in with added effects-laden electric guitar. Ends on a guitar wail. Driven, single-minded, effervescent and slightly dangerous, perfect theme music for a ‘Fresh Meat’-style drama about dysfunctional University life, or a high energy advert for a youth-giving product.

Piano Duet

Plinky-plonky electronic track. Muted, gentle kalimba-like keyboard notes with a tinkling percussive glockenspiel-like motif above. A growing wash of calming synth emerges from beneath. Meditative, warm, mellow and reflective, like bathing in calming sound, with African-style melodic percussion but Icelandic, glassy like Amiina, perfect for a gentle, family advert or introspective TV/Film/Doc scene.

Protostar

Sparkling electronica. Glassy synth intro, expanding crystals of synthesised sound, glittering in the light. Soft steady beat under delicate arpeggiated synths, fast rainbow synth notes flit by above a rising sustained synth string section. Calm descends. Bubbling synths and flute-like electronics join gentle, clear electric guitar, building anticipation. Magical, delicate and drenched in muted pastel colours, a prismatic unfolding of synthesised sounds imitating nature. Perfect accompaniment and contrast to a documentary about the natural world, science and nature combine in a fantastical future.
