Sample-heavy 90s influenced hip hop track. Synth electric guitar plays a tense riff over various samples, including hand claps, vinyl scratches, radio static, organ, hand drums, tambourine and flute, and dark hip hop beats. Tense and slightly sinister but cool and collected,with a hint of dangerous fun, perfect for an atmospheric, streetwise advert or TV/Film sequence set in a dangerous neighbourhood where anything can happen.

Searching, thoughtful and desolate, sounds like a message in a bottle bobbing over the seven seas, would suit a Film/TV/Doc journey, perfect music for a cross-country train journey as the landscape flashes by.

Dynamic drum intro, bold brass enters in unison, African-style jazz guitar, Étiopiques-style keys and lively marimba before a siren-like chiming, dissonant brass build, over increasingly frenetic marimba. Returns to jazz groove with a sax solo on top and a repeated melodic motif underneath on keys. Full band to the end. Joyful and excited, reckless and strange at times, would suit an upbeat summer advert, or as evocative mood music for a travel documentary.

Running over the hills, through the forest, but like, as fast as the wind. In black and white, as part of a dramatic film sequence (or an advert for Jägermeister) – is my exploitative interpretation of this brilliantly thumping and atmospheric track. Tribal drums (in the folk sense?) perfectly synchronised with acoustic guitar keep you on your toes with off-kilter time signatures and dramatic flourishes. The vocal version adds a close but haunting feel pushing you like the wind… you can probably tell I like this track. Imagine Woodkid, if Woodkid was good.
A strong industrial beat joined by a strident classical strings and mandolin-like synth, introduces a sampled female vocal singing “I’ll drive down these roads”. Massive, triumphant, fanfare, orchestral big beat / in your face hip hop. This has got car advert all over it.
A slow and unhurried build with synth strings and radiant tonal swirls. A roving bass line joins at 0:40. At 2:09 it breaks into something classy, a laid back but grooving rhythm section bears down and comes into its own at 3:33, losing the swirling synths, but adding rhythmic piano stabs. At 7:05 the swirls are back but now pulsing in time; at 7:49 our original strings and swirls are back again, finally at 9:14 the track gradually breaks down towards a faded end. Glamourous and dreamy with a killer groove. I’d imagine this working for a sophisticated branding video, for luxury products and/or spaces.

Light drums build anticipation with a piano counter-melody. Drums drop out for a violin and gently strummed guitar break. Thoughtful, measured piano chords before a return to the build up. Drums kick in and the melody is in full swing. Hand clap-style percussion adds interest at the next break, stay in as the tune builds once more to a triumphant end. Ambitious, hopeful, excited, perfect for a decisive, emotional moment on Film/TV, for epic sports coverage on TV, or for an air-punching, life-affirming advert.
