Solemn atmospheric piano-led track with orchestral strings. Starts with a string drone that builds in force and dissonance. Single piano and glockenspiel notes tinkle on the edges. This fades out and is replaced by regular melancholy piano chords with ambient percussive rattles and mouse-like squeaks adding a layer of intrigue. Intense and melancholy yet playful, an unusual combination of sounds to suit an off-kilter film or quirky yet sombre advert.

String intro like a Purcell opera, gives way to warm, tinkling piano with sensitive string accompaniment, lush and lyrical with a slightly Baroque feel, piano acting as walking bass. Marimba arpeggios join later, adding an off-kilter, unexpected further element to the mix. Intriguing and hopeful yet conflicted, a steady piece of music,gliding through genres. Would suit a TV/Film drama, documentary or advert conjuring a regal past with a hint of eccentricity.
Dreamy synth track. Muted 80s synths, soft and washed out, over more synths. Builds with added vocal-like synths playing with Twin Peaks-esque acid sweetness. Melodic, sentimental and cheesy, perfect for a pastiche of dramatic daytime TV or for a emotional Christmas advert.
Experimental, tropical instrumental with brass and percussion. Wavy brass and woodwind and sparse frenetic double bass, oud-like guitar with shakers, drums and orchestral percussion begin a 2-part musical journey in Casablanca, or some other city of intigue and passion. Marching band snare gives way to tropicalia on shakers, bass, acoustic guitar and wah wah effects. All the colour and life of a tropical jungle dances sweatily together with brass holding the Latin-style melody. Retro, intriguing yet sexy and ambient, suited to an ambitious Film/Doc or TV show set in sensual, sunny climes or an atmospheric summery advert for a passion-inducing indulgence.
Reflective solo piano track. Melancholy piano melody with undulating broken piano chords beneath. Emotional movement and expressive phrasing. Sad, yearning and romantic, a cry to a long-lost love or bygone time of happiness and gaiety, perfect for a desolate, dramatic TV/Film scene.
Full bodied laid back hip hop, I can see California lens flare, sunny cruising past beautiful people, feels urban but crisp with bold beats, lush synth chords and intricate DJ scratching. Clean, fresh and cool, with a sense of power and style. Would work in promos, car related programmes, or any stylish showcase segment. Like Summertime by Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince, but without Will Smith trying to rap and much much cooler. Highlight is the massive chorus section at 1:16 – full of sweet synth impact.

Moves to a jazz keyboard sound, joined by violin and cello sharing fragments of melody. High register violin and ascending keys drive the melody to an anticipatory hight point. A new section: soft, tender Satie-like chordal piano, joined by breathy sustained strings. A soothing variation on the original motif to finish. Romantic, thoughtful and other-worldly,a sonic dream, astral wanderings with one foot in the 20th century. Would suit a reflective TV scene or a very beautiful documentary.
Mysterious electronic synth track. Repetitive synth intro, bouncy and arpeggiated, with spooky synth whooshes. New section of spookier synth riff, twinkling percussive bells and strings straight out of an old James Bond film, building anticipation. Sustained synth section with shuffling percussion becomes a dynamic, rhythmic synth section. Like Santigold but weird and wonky, topsy-turvy. Plodding yet classy, a real mystery. Intriguing and beguiling, would suit a provocative advert, a flashy product, sexy and stylish but a hint of danger.
Fat synth track. Glistening synth chords, light, glassy trap beat, fat full synth builds, deep, sparse, throbbing beats added. Helium vocal samples before a jittery beat break. Mini drop into spacey full synth section with samples. Futuristic and bright with a slightly icy air of anticipation, perfect suspenseful background music for reality TV or fashion/youth culture documentaries.
