Blue Valentine

Playful with a dreamy edge, a delicate ensemble of synths that evoke a sense of futuristic exertion and in some sense an inevitable acceptance of the randomness of events. Like a child of Rutger Hauer’s Nexus 6 playing with its toys in a semi dark sitting room.

The Tides of Life

Slow and intense, a solo piano tune with a long reverb that conjures images of dreamy, haunted angels. It has a somewhat plasticky feeling that hits somewhere in the middle of being for real or just daydreaming. As it progresses the mood shifts into epic territories using long form drones and high pitched synth instances. We are probably watching passers-by from the top of an evanescent skyscraper.

Percussion Experiments

Magical and dreamy, with an ethereal celeste and orchestral percussions that create a compelling mix of childish playfulness and a confident rhythmical manner. It will suit well 30 seconds adverts. A sense of discovery for a mysterious world where children with magical powers play with castles made of sand.

I, Me

Dreamy and deranged, with an evocative exotic flavour and a bouncy percussive-led rhythm that bring you in a sort of Bollywood b-movie dungeon. Weird and hypnotic, will suit commercials and sequences with an ironic edge.

Sky High

Atmospheric and contemplative, with a 16 bit feeling that reminds of video games from the eighties/early nineties. A hypnotic arpeggiated synth and digital flutes and bells create a sense of lightness and airiness. Zelda and Mario can finally meet up and glide azure skies with cotton candy clouds.

Frog Orchestra

Casual and light, a playful tune that happily marries orchestral patterns with modern rhythmical drum interjections. Strings, glockenspiel and brass dialogue together without engulfing the scene too much. Like being in a wet and muddy forest with a magnifying glass, observing quirky animals and such hopping around and tentatively catching up with their instincts. Simple and nice theme that is repeated throughout the tune in an ABAB fashion.

Damage

Dreamy and emotional but polluted in its arrangement, with digitally distorted synthesisers that swoop around the sonic sky and create an interesting black and white post apocalyptic romance theme. Futuristic and hypnotic, there is also a nice and straight kick drum bouncing on the lower spectrum of frequencies that help in establishing a catchy danceable rhythm.

Captured

Dark and sneaky, a synthesised bass drone decorated with prepared piano inserts and strings articulations that bring in a cheap horror feeling with an industrial element. This will nicely go along with those kind of thrillers and horrors where everyone in the audience thinks: “Really?”. For scary exploitation and b-movies with an ironic edge.

Sunrise in an Alien Zoo

Mysterious, epic and progressive, a slow chordal progression with bassey undertones to an electronic pulse, to 3:44 where more distinct melodic elements appear. A quiet breakdown at around 6:00, before a definitive lead electronic riff appears at 6:30 to build in complexity to a relaxed electronic climax. Basically you probably would listen to this if you took some psychedelics, or at least listening to this will make you feel like you are on some sort of psychedelics. Imagine the soundtrack to a robotic world fizzing with colour and happiness, with no humans. Ahhh what a lovely thought.

In the Dead of the Night

Pensive and somber, with an overarching negative mood given by bassy orchestral drones and subtle electronics. The middle section features a poignant counterpoint between a cello and an oboe. A sparse and saturnine sense of the inevitable leaning to Hollywood style romance stories.
