Royal Oak

Atmospheric slide and acoustic guitar track. Slow beginning with slide guitar joined by fast broken chords on acoustic guitar building tension with guitar sound affects. A melodic motif on acoustic guitar builds up, joined by slide for the ending. Tense, sombre and dramatic, anticipation builds throughout, like the lead-up to a duel in a Western movie. Perfect for a documentary or Film/TV sequence. You can almost hear the crunch of gravel underfoot and the glint of desert sun on spurs.

Going to Bill’s

Intense acoustic guitar instrumental. Dark, pensive intro growing in speed and intricacy. Quick, repetitive strumming creates a drone effect. Hints of Spanish/Latin American guitar, Western movie soundtracks, as well as Middle-Eastern sounds. Suspenseful, tense and brooding, moving like a seductive dance, would suit onscreen tension on Film/TV or a sombre documentary about seedy goings-on and modern-day cowboys.

Guitar Wanderings

Slow-paced acoustic guitar track with drones. Dramatic, sparse acoustic guitar intro, breaks into a melancholy, reflective melody, accompanied by a sitar-like string drone. Listen to the Dialogue While I Do My Thing

Atmospheric synth instrumental. Layers of echoing synth. Fat, warm, 80s reverb-laden sound. Sombre orchestral string effect, chiming piano and glacial beats gives a serious, driving feeling. Intriguing, mysterious and strange, Twin Peaks-style ambience crossed with Enya and the Crimewatch theme tune, would suit a dark TV drama or as tension-building background music to an eye-opening documentary.

Airy Fairy

Intriguing mid-tempo electronic track. Shaker and hand drum-style percussion, twinkling electronics, bright, glassy synths and sustained atmospheric synth chords unfold and expand. Sustained synth grows in intensity, organ style synth chords chime out, cutting through the dreamscape. Dense, magical, ethereal and futuristic with hints of tension and discord. Feels like a voyage of discovery in a utopian future world, or a personal journey of realisation.
