I Gave You the World (Suite)

Blues guitar number. Wailing electric blues guitar, laid back slide guitar, classic blues guitar chord progression, walking bass line and gentle easy-going drums. Electric organ ads extra flavour. Plodding, steady, cool, calm and a bit cocky, self-assured blues rock for an American-style advert for some BBQ meat flavouring or for some Film/TV Americana.

Bed version available with No Lead Guitar.

Get Charged (Righteous Remix)

Funky 90s vocal and sample track. Vocals burst in from the start, laid back 90s samples, squelchy beats, cymbals, funky keys. Added orchestral strings add a serious note under the breezy beats. Chilled and cool with a slightly serious edge, a mash up of samples and influences, swinging between cool and intense. Ultimately a funky call to action.

Non-vocal version available.

Due

Atmospheric electronic track with accordion. Broken underwater synth chords, bloopy, deep and mellow, build a beguiling atmosphere. Soon joined by freely melodic, meandering accordion giving it a French flair as watery chords and deep sea synths lay down calming chords and mermaid choruses. Magical, vast and deep, a hopeful, experimental track perfect as documentary background music or for a Gallic product or film, or to accompany a frightened mermaid morphing back to human form.

Autumn Drone

Glassy sustained electronic drone. Bright sustained synths chords, electronic waves of sound ebbing and flowing, orchestral string-like higher notes introduced, electronic overtones. Atmospheric, ambient and calming, an immersive soundscape bringing to mind the natural world, perfect for nature documentaries and water and climate-related work.

’40s Swoon

Snippet of dreamy 1940s big band music. Lush orchestral strings, tinkling piano, shuffling drums and a warm, vocal chorus swell effect. Warm, retro and uplifting, jazzy, old-fashioned music for swaying gently to, at the holidays, while dressed to the nines, in 1940s America.

Kuzka’s Mother (Suite)

Electronic orchestral string fusion. Orchestral string intro with single delay-effect piano notes building anticipation. Breaks into 90s trip hop drums with dramatic orchestral strings, piano chords and a dirty synth line. Synth break, back to the string motif. Final section is without strings, beat-driven breakdown. Glamorous, dangerous and sexy, a 90s throwback with a modern edge, where Massive Attack meets Clean Bandit, would suit a slick car advert or could bring some glamour to a gritty British TV show or film about modern youth.

Version available without lead strings.

1 min and 30 sec ad length version available.

String stem track available.

Susenyos

Instrumental soulful jazz. Theremin effect over woozy brass intro with subtle keyboard chords. Drums and bass guitar enter, brass moves to a more melodic motif. Electric guitar flourishes then electric guitar and vibraphone melody. Change of pace to a more percussive gallop rhythm with horns. Back to bass, floating theremin and lazy brass and a dreamy guitar and brass melody, like bobbing on the ocean. Upbeat, driving rhythmic section on keys, drums and guitar, punchy brass and soulful saxophone build before slowing to a finish. Relaxed, lush, warm and hopeful, would suit a retro Film/TV scene, growing in excitement, tension building, or a romantic moment on screen where tenderness swings to all out love.

Solo Piano version available.

Not My Ask

Romantic jazz instrumental. Breathy saxophone melody, softly strummed guitar and gentle piano chords, joined by a selection of strings playing the undulating melodic idea in canon. Saxophone plays out before melting away to sultry breathiness again for the wistful mid-section. Strings wail, clarinet cuts through as the track builds in intensity before a quiet, reduced ending. Beautiful, sensual, intense and thoughtful, like the soulful East African jazz of Étiopiques. Would suit a highly charged, tender, romantic moment on TV/Film, or a reflective advert for something very special.

Bat Milk

Chilled jazzy reggae track. Slow piano skank and tip-toeing bass guitar intro with surf-style guitar effects and laid back drums. Brass plays a lyrical melody that sounds like a raised eyebrow, joined by subtle sustained keyboard chords. Saxophone takes a solo, accompanied by jazz drums and skanking guitar keeping the relaxed, mid-tempo beat. Back to melody on brass, before a keyboard solo like The Specials’ Ghost Town and a fade out. Thoughtful and searching, yet relaxed and easy-going, perfect for a Film/TV scene where the protagonist is on a solo journey of discovery in a new place or a strange, intriguing situation. Would also suit an advert for a new, exotic and surprisingly tasty food or beverage.

A Beautiful Day

Cheesy summer synths. Shimmering sustained synths, delicate snare beats and whooshing synth effects introduce a low key synth melody. A quieter passage of sparkling arpeggiated synths, bouncy keys and washed out beats creates a breezy atmosphere before the melody returns more energetic and full of conviction. Sexy, seductive and summery, sun, sea and synths, perfect Balearic muzak for adverts, or comedic TV montages – like Alan Partridge slow-motion Baywatch jogging into the sunset.
