Panic Amongst the Dragonflies

Mysterious multi-instrumental. Atmospheric feedback intro followed by oom-pah-pah waltz rhythm and childish marimba melody. Orchestral strings and accordion join with a Gallic-inspired melody, reminiscent of Amélie. The melancholy gives way to excitable, erratic rhythms on all instruments, before a dynamic final section with passionate violin and jumpy marimba. Magical, melancholy and manic, perfect music to accompany a rainy midnight walk through the streets of Paris, only to end up in a sleazy speakeasy at the centre of an absinthe-sodden freakshow.

Jerky, stop-start moments and dark harmonies create slight unease until the chords resolve again. Reflective, heartfelt and troubled, quietly powerful soundtrack music to suit a desolate landscape or a thought-provoking visual.

Mysterious, pensive and reflective, perfect Ennio Morricone-style soundtrack music for sombre western TV spoofs and adverts or documentaries reporting on another type of cowboy.

A mysterious, orchestral journey of wonder under the sea, past schools of multi-hued fish and shimmering oyster shells with their iridescent pearls, through a fog of pastel bubbles. Beginning with a slightly threatening drone, this track soon gives way to ethereal beauty. Bells tinkle and bubbling piano emerges to take us on a magical Disney-style journey. Strings and woodwind keep us enthralled as the piano ebbs and flows. Slightly spooky but full of wonder and joy, this is classic fantasy film sequence. Perfect for a brief, enchanting interlude on TV or for an advert conjuring a sparkling submersion in a new world.

Orchestral track with exotic woodwind and rootsy guitar. A long string like a yearning animal cry, haunting female vocals like siren calls accompanied by slightly bluegrass style banjo and acoustic guitar. A melodic motif on woodwind and acoustic guitar pans an unspoiled landscape rich with colour and history. The guitar is offset by orchestral strings, elevating it to the level of an epic voyage across a fabled land. Magical, emotional, dramatic and wistful, we feel the spirits of another time traversing the land, perfect for a film/doc about a mysterious enigmatic place or time, or a nostalgic, epic but intimate advert.

Short version is 1 minute long with less of an epic build.

Seductive percussion and snaking violin and flute intertwine over a booming timpani and subtle electric guitar. Orchestral strings add drama and intrigue. Chilled bleepy electronic slow jam. Underwater synth chords joined by drums and bongo samples. Flute-like synth samples flit overhead, adding a tropical colour. 90s hip hop drums and a bassy synth line add depth. After a drum break with flute samples, the silvery synth returns. Cool, mysterious and a little bit playful, perfect for ads for a fresh new product or a trippy, surreal or exotic film/TV sequence.

Chiming guitar track with female vocals. Interweaving electric and acoustic guitars, reverb and delay effects, like an indie guitar track. Breathy female vocals introduced. Guitars duel and layer up, dark and brooding, an instrumental Interpol with slightly jazzy female vocals. African jazz and Spanish guitar influences. Mysterious and atmospheric, would suit a spellbinding TV/Film/Doc scene, spans cultures and eras, a cyclical guitar meditation.

Happy Blocks (Suite)

A cheerful cat-and-mouse game featuring orchestral violins and marimba. Pizzicato violins start with a jaunty melodic idea, soon accompanied by rousing timpani. The violins’ melodic sequence moves to a higher register and playful marimba dances around the melody. Marimba develops into a counter melody before the track ends with a bang. Playful, mysterious, fun and light-hearted, it would suit a comedic interlude on a tv documentary, reality TV shows featuring family members or pets up to mischief, or an ad for something unreasonably desirable that the listener would go to humorous lengths to acquire.

Chaotic version features more marimba action.

A rich, hypnotic Middle Eastern-sounding track. A sounding bell then repeating drums rhythms, a violin-like instrument plays a snaking seductive melody. Occasional dulcimer-like trills add intrigue. Hypnotic, mysterious, intriguing, seductive, intense. Film/TV sequence featuring an intense, mesmerising experience for our characters, out of their comfort zone, exploring the dark beauty of an unfamiliar land.
