Hell Flames
Disturbed and suspenseful, with piano solo as lead instrument and a symphonic orchestra that deliver unsettling flashes of dark energy. It follows an A-B-A structure, with a huge spike – both in sound and emotional impact – in the middle section. Great for horrors, thrillers and supernatural themes.
Raggy Piano
Sparse tragic solo piano, desolate, empty, sad and grief stricken, with a hint of the Middle East. If you were going to have a soundtrack to the devastation and carnage left behind by war, this would be it.
Sarah’s Ambience
Uneasy tones, starting with radio static and joined by metallic morphing harmonies. Perfect backdrop for suspense and drama. Expansive and desolate.
Versions with acoustic guitar and minimal acoustic guitar
Monkey Dance
Toy pianos, xylophones and harmoniums evoke a mischievous dancing simian. Atonal elements make this a vaguely sinister piece. Something is going wrong in the toy world.
Wicked Tuna
Rousing war horns intro, industrial beats and bass line develop into searing synth arpeggios, with ghostly vocals rising to a dark crescendo.
Noks Foreboding Peace
Piano over an ambient score or orchestral strings. Unsettling, dark and portentous. Slow.
For All The Children (Part 2)
Dramatic orchestral string track with piano. Expressive strings soar over fast-moving piano arpeggios, creating a melancholy wash of yearning and unfulfilled desires. Powerful, dynamic and passionate, perfect for an uptight British TV drama concerning repressed lovers.
KMH Part 1
Minimal piano track. Polyrhythmic piano lines interweave creating a continuous, flowing waterfall effect. Sweet yet dissonant, atmospheric and turbulent. A dreamlike cacophony in the mid-section, before an expressive, virtuosic, yet disturbed, finish. Suited to an unsettling Film/TV scene, a psychological horror reflecting the characters tumultuous experiences.
Ed Mark
Sparse, western acoustic guitar track. Desolate Americana with touches of harsh slide guitar, like something out of a tense, Ry Cooder-scored Western. Atmospheric, strange and nostalgic, would suit a cowboy parody or Western-style advert or TV scene/documentary.
