Tense orchestral track. Piano intro, chiming marimba, melancholy lyrical cello solo, threatening piano chords and deep, dangerous double bass builds to more tense, dynamic section. Wailing violins and high piano notes spell an underlying threat. Intriguing, suspenseful and chilling at times, murder-mystery music, would suit a tense film scene or an elegantly violent high society thriller.

Playtime
Playful woodwind track. Busy orchestral strings, lyrical woodwind and jaunty, tinkling piano. Pastoral, fun and light-hearted, evoking the British countryside, would suit a cheerful advert or TV/Film scene about the beauty and wonder of the natural world.
The Old Tree Swing
Lyrical solo piano track. Gentle undulating piano arpeggios with bright, hopeful piano melody above. Introspective, quiet, melancholy moment, brightening to the original melody. Peaceful, thoughtful, searching and nostalgic, a piano journey through idyllic American countryside, watching from the car window, memories flooding in as the patchwork fields flicker by.
60 secs and 30 secs ad length versions available.
Tonight We Drink Wine and Dance
Melancholy solo piano. Amélie-style minor oom-pah chords, growing in intensity and embellishment throughout the track. Another line of piano plays a lyrical melody above the regular chords. An energetic chorus brings a modulation and intricate break. Back to opening chords for a finish. Emotional and wretched, yet passionate, would suit an advert or TV scene requiring Gallic charm and impulsive, reckless emotion.
‘Underscore’ version features chords only, no melody line.
Requiem for L Lawson
Live instrumental acoustic guitar saga. Raw blues/folk acoustic guitar melody, repetitive melodic motifs. Lyrical mid-section to a more tense, frantic part, alternating between drama and calm moments. End section is like something out of a Western film, tense and sparse, with dramatic slide guitar, to a hopeful finger-picking final section. Sombre, dramatic and epic with moments of light, the nature of the live recording adding interesting imperfections. Different sections would suit various Film/TV/Documentary moments, would suit an American road trip or a nature documentary explore the American Wild West.
The Return
Cinematic orchestral thriller. Tense, choppy string motif, building in intensity, joined by horn blasts and rumbling percussion. Grows to a powerful, lyrical melody, determined and triumphant, before a quiet final section on piano. Exciting, dramatic and exhilarating, perfect for a cinematic adventure sequence, or ambitious advert lampooning this style.
Susenyos (Solo Piano)
Solo jazz piano. Erratic, playful opening chords, a dramatic section exploring the range of the piano and deep, stomping chords before an East African-style jazz solo. Moves to GymnopĂ©die-like lyrical beauty before a dynamic minimalist section. Alternates fluidly between these varying styles, creating a multi-hued collage of moods. Surprising, playful, dramatic and sophisticated, would suit an old-style silent film or a confusing onscreen tug ‘o’ war of emotions.
Full band version also available.
The Real Business
Two part brass instrumental. Unsteady jazz piano and erratic saxophone notes begin before settling into a mellow, lyrical piano and sax melody with warm string swells. Slightly off-kilter tuning counteracts the sweetness of the melody, giving it a quirky edge. Dreamlike, nostalgic and strange, would suit a reflective documentary moment or a sentimental but not sickly-sweet Film/TV sequence.
Visiting Laila
Solo piano. Jazz chords straight out of a classic movie scene set in a smoky cavernous jazz club. Slow chordal movement at first, sweet and lyrical, moves to a confused romantic motif with some dissonance, chords grow in volume and intensity, a declaration of love. Back to the introductory chords, more relaxed now with hints of unsettling dissonance. Romantic, confused and reckless, a love letter to early jazz, on Film/TV, would suit a La La Land style, modern interpretation of heady jazz-age love.
Antiphon No.2 (Parts 1, 2 and 3)
Expressive piano and orchestral string track. Sweeping, passionate piano runs and soaring orchestral strings move with a sense of excitement and anticipation. Lyrical, dramatic, sensuous and beautiful, perfect for a romantic scene onscreen or an impressive advert for a luxurious product.
